2026-09-14 - Bakhroshūngz - Morphology 2: Electric Boogaloo
So… I did it! I rebuilt Bakhroshūngz's morphology.
I wasn't satisfied with how the declension & conjugation that I'd made was really verbose, redundant, and repetitive. Example: I am not actually sure if I published this, but for every verb directed to somebody, you'd need a stupid “khiser” to mark that it's a human-to-human interaction, as if that's information that anybody needed. Gender was marked twice on nouns, and declension and conjugation was just so. long. I also just didn't like the morphology, I just felt it was… ugly.
I've various more complaints about my own morphology, one being that it didn't exist publicly, but the point of this post is that I remade it! It is now fully documented (besides numeral morphology, I haven't made it yet) and is, I think, nice to use.
Also, by now, I should note that there's some minor phonology changes, one of which being that there is a long/short distinction which moves vowels around when they shorten.
The next things I plan on doing are:
- Remaking phonotactics
- Making the lexicon page up-to-date
- Adding determiners
- Adding more grammar notes to clarify how the language is used
- Doing numeral morphology
- Working on Bakhroshəqif (which is almost entirely done, by the way, just not documented at all)
