This page is dedicated to information on this website's, and my handle's, name, Jasperredis.
Since I don't know where to put it, I'll say it here, the “redis” in “Jasperredis” has nothing to do with Redis, the database thing, which I don't really care about or like, it's just a coincidence.

Spelling
“Jasperredis” is spelt with 2 R's and 1 D: JASPERREDIS.
It is not spelt with those reversed, which would be “JASPEREDDIS.
People get this wrong constantly, and then they go and type “jaspereddis.net”
into their address bar and get a DNS resolution error.
You genuinely do have to spell it right, “jaspereddis.net” isn't a thing.

It is NOT “jas-pruh-DEES” like text-to-speech wants you to believe.
Joke Alternatives
Some of my friends occasionally call it “Jasperlettuce” as a joke, because “lettuce” rhymes with “redis”, and it's funny. Said friends also call me “Jasperredis” as a name for me.
Also, somebody once verbally misheard it as “Jasper Edits”. This isn't common in the slightest, nor is it correct, but I thought it was funny.
“Have you heard of Jasper Edits?”
“Who's that, do they do video editing?”
“No, ve… edits code, I guess, I don't know.”
“What? That's… stupid. That person's stupid.”
